    Hey there, Dada members!

You may notice that videos posted in the Humor, Animals and Sports categories now feature text-based ads (just like the Google AdSense links on your pages).

The ads are located at the bottom of the video, in the flash player itself, and they refresh while the video is viewed. As an example, here's a hilarious video posted by Dada user janethegreat!

Again, ads only appear on videos categorized in the Humor, Animals and Sports categories. This is something Dada is testing out. We may extend this functionality to other categories and to all you friend$ in the future, so  please let us know what you think!

    Thanks!

Once again, we want to stress that clicking on your own ads, clicking on the ads of your friends or asking other users to click on your ads just to earn extra money is click fraud! And, if you break the rules you agreed to when you joined Dada and Google AdSense, your Dada account will be closed and your AdSense account will be disabled!

To make sure your accounts stay open and the Dada community stays click fraud-free, we need to work together!

If you notice a user who is promoting click fraud, please send a message (and the link to that user’s profile) to moderator@dada.net.

Also, if you notice a sudden increase in your earnings and fear it may be due to fraudulent clicks from another user, please report it to Google by filling out this form. If you don’t report it, the extra clicks may lead to your account being shut down by mistake!

Remember, only click on an ad if you have a sincere interest in what is being advertised. Making some money honestly is better than cheating and making no money at all.

As you may know already know -- clicking on your own ads is against the rules. Clicking ads on your friends' pages in an attempt to increase their earnings is also against the rules! If you click on ads to manipulate click through rates, you will be banned from Dada.net and your Google Adsense account will be shut down!

If someone emails you, or comments on your page asking you to to click on their ads, please report them ASAP to usdadafriends@dada.net or to moderator@dada.net. The promotion of click fraud in the community will not be tolerated and we need your help in reporting it.

    Thanks for your cooperation!

The #1 tip for making money with friend$? Be Active!!!

Sitting on the sidelines, just waiting for people to visit your page will never pay off. You have to post interesting content! And, slapping up random pictures isn't enough! Make sure you put some thought into choosing, naming, categorizing and tagging your pics and videos, so people can find them.

Also, you have a much better chance of filling your piggy bank if you keep current blogs with commentary and opinions to go along with your multimedia content. Giving other users something fun to read will keep them coming back for more. And, if you develop a following, you'll be leading the pack in friend$ earnings!

On this blog, we've posted about clicking on your own ads. However, this is not the only form of click fraud that could lead to having your account disabled!

Clicking ads on your friends' pages in an attempt to increase their earnings is also against the rules! If you click on ads to manipulate click through rates, you will be banned from Dada.net and your Google Adsense account will be shut down!

So, please, only click on an ad if you have a sincere interest in what is being advertised. We know everyone wants to make more money, but making money honestly is better than trying to cheat and making $0.00!

Carol is one of the most well-known faces on Dada. You’ve probably seen her — she makes it a point to comment on her fellow bloggers’ posts, her profile is often featured on the People page, and she touts the friend$ program every chance she gets!

To date, Carol has made well over $200 through the friend$ program, with her most lucrative day totaling $17.33 — nearly 20 bucks in just one day for simply doing what she loves!

“After 10 years of joining every scam out there, I have finally found a way to make money online, and that’s here at Dada.net,” she says. Knowing that it’s all about building her network, Carol shares tips about AdSense so that more people join up. Every time she or one of her affiliates posts a comment; creates a new blog; adds a video, soundbite or picture, it adds up. Most importantly, she says, she sends invites.

“I have 674 buddies and 72 people in my friend$ network,” she says. And once her pending invites are accepted, she’ll be well on her way to making paydirt.

What will the Michigan native do with her first check from Google AdSense? Pay some household bills, but she also has a greater goal in sight. “When I start earning even more — because I know I will — I am gonna do something special for my family. I haven't decided just what yet, but it will be good!

“A few months ago, I didn't even know what a blog was, and now I feel like a pro,” she says. “I have 11 of them on here right now ... LOL!”

That LOL is the sound of Carol on her way to the bank.

Paradox2007xbeyond is more than just a Dada member, he’s a father of four! With four future Dadaists to feed, he needed more than just a social network, he needed some cash.

“When I discovered Dada with friend$, I said to myself: ‘Yeah, I’ll try this one,’ and I enrolled. The following day, when I opened my AdSense account, I was happy to see $0.87 on it, and I was laughing and laughing, not because of the small amount of money on it, but because I didn’t do much the day when I enrolled, yet I made $0.87 -- lol. Yes! This is something amazing! I saw the potential immediately, so I said to myself, ‘Yeah. I will follow the piggy bank.’ Then, the $0.87 increased and increased and increased ...”

To date, Paradox has earned more than $800, and makes as much as $40 per day!

“Thanks, Dada. You have helped me and thousands more!” (And, no, we didn’t pay him another $800 to say that.) You’re welcome, Paradox!

Dada user lifeiseasy is making easy money with friend$! She’s raking in as much as $40 a day and is having fun while she’s at it, “I like having the option to have several blogs with different subjects.”

With earnings of more than $200, it’s no surprise that her favorite part of the friend$ program is "the money," but she also enjoys sharing the wealth.

She says, “The greatest experience I have had here with Dada is showing others how to join here and make money . So many people have been trying to earn money online and have never made a dime and here they have earned money and made some great new friends too.”

Jamhowieuha has made $705.64 with friend$ so far! And, he’s made as much as $223.13 in one day! He’s expecting his first check from Google soon and says, “Monthly rent is covered. I'm a happy camper.”

About the friend$ program, he commented, “It’s an easy method of earning money and networking,” and, with 315 buddies, his network is as big as his wallet!

Question: My pig is holding a cup of hot coffee. What does that mean?

Answer:  Aside from his caffeine addiction, this means that your account is pending. Once Google has approved your application, another e-mail will arrive in your Dada.net e-mail inbox, saying "Congratulations!" When this happens, your pig should turn into a regular piggy bank and this tab will just say "Account."

Don't click on your own ads!

The action of clicking on an ad has to be a spontaneous action from a random person. You also can't click on the ads of your affiliates. That would be cheating. And, cheating is bad. If you click on your own ads, Google will disable your AdSense account, and, then, you won't make any money.

So, it's best to just keep posting quality content that people want to see! The more people viewing your pages, the more people you'll have clicking on your ads!

Today's friend$ Q&A is all about the Benjamins:

Question: My friend$ panel says this after clicking the pig:
    ------------------------------------------
    Your earnings

    $12.21 dal 02-04-2007

    2.0 % clickthrough rate (41 clicks on 2026 page views )
    ------------------------------------------

How do we earn this way? I have a lot of visitors, but my pig's (account) page only tells me how many affiliates I have and to check my AdSense account.

Next question is, if we earn form here also, how do you receive the money, how do you request it and how much do you have to have to make the request?

    Answer:
Dada friend$ is based on the Google AdSense program. You earn money whenever someone spontaneously clicks on your ads. And, you also benefit when someone clicks on the ads of your friend$ affiliates! (You even get a percentage of the revenue when someone clicks on the ads of your friend$ affiliate's affiliates!)

You can check how much money you've made by clicking on your "Account" pig at the top of the page. But, the money actually comes from Google. They will send out a payment when your profits reach $100. When you get close to that point, you will need to fill out a tax form on their website.

To submit your tax information, see more detailed reports of your progress or check the status of any payments, you need to log into the Google AdSense website at http://www.google.com/adsense.

    Here's the latest Q&A:

Question: hey... got a question ...in my space I have 4 people and the tab says ready to invite ...so what does that mean??? and how do I invite them??? I have tried a couple of time to invite them but nothing happens ...thanks :)

Answer: If you click on "friends," scroll down and click "ready to invite." That should take you to a list of all your regular Dada.net friends that aren't already in the friend$ program.

To invite them, you can either click the individual "invite to friend$" link next to each name. Or, you can click "Select all" at the bottom of the page and select "Invite to friend$" from the dropdown menu.

You should get an orange alert message for each user you successfully invite. If you've already invited a user to friend$, you will not get an alert again.
